The advantage of having a furry friend is that they like your cooking even if you burn their favorite batch of biscuits.
When I was vending at the farmer's markets in Peculiar, MO and at the Brookside Farmer's Market in Kansas City, MO - I was careful to make the biscuits look edible for humans. If a batch didn't look like something I would want to eat, it would go to the dogs . . . literally. This is a treat that was burnt to a crisp but my dear sweet Onyx and Poppy eat them because they like my cooking. Well, Poppy ate them eagerly and Onyx ate them reluctantly . . . trying to be polite:~)
Oatmeal Peanut Butter Recipe (but don't burn em):
1/4 C Organic Peanut Butter
1/4 C Organic Canola Oil
1/2 C Filtered Water
1/4 C Organic Oat Bran
1-1/2 C Organic Oat Flour (in the summer use Barley flour)
1/4 C Honey
1 Tsp Baking Powder
Mix all ingredients well. Use a small ice cream scoop to make even cookies for your baby(ies). Put on an ungreased baking dish. Take a fork and press down. Bake at 325 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes or longer depending on your oven (being careful not to burn them:~) Let cool and serve them with love!
Special Note: I try to use organic ingredients as much as I can. However, we live in a food desert so going to the grocery store is not as easy as making a quick trip around the corner ... unless going to Quick Trip.
